Hi guys. A few weeks ago I was walking home from school and when I was crossing this busy road, a car was going really fast towards me and it smashed into my leg. The rest of my body was out of the way of the car's path, but it hit my leg. I was rushed to hospital, and they said that I might have to lose my leg. I had an X-ray and an MRI scan, and it turned out I had broken my femur in three places and my tibia had a compound fracture. I went straight to surgery and has screws and pins inserted into my leg to hold the bones together. I woke up 2 days after surgery and stayed in hospital for another week. Three weeks on my leg is in a cast, and is healing nicely, but is still in a lot of pain. But I am extremely lucky not to have been killed that day!
